In the Forums Buy new or used for full-timing?
I’m back looking for more opinions since I consider all of you to be the experts! I’ve heard pros and cons about buying new, that the value plummets as soon as you drive them off the lot, etc. But I am wondering, since there would be a new vehicle warranty, if new isn’t the way to go for full-timing?
What do you think?

Map and information resources
I am hoping to start traveling full-time in 2009. I want to start researching where to go.
What resources would everyone recommend for good maps to use traveling? Maps that identify rest stops on the major interstate and intrastate highways would be one thing I want.

Real ID Act
Has anyone read about the ID act from President Bush due to take effect in 2008? One of the requirements for getting or renewing your driver’s license will be to show proof of a permanent residence such as a utility bill, etc. I am a full-timer and do not own a house. Has anyone contacted their state government to see how this is going to affect them? I will be going back to my home state in June and will ask a lot of questions. If you can’t get a driver’s license because you don’t own a permanent residence, then you can’t fulltime RV. That’s the way it comes across to me.
Anyone else have any input?

Like the sun, wind provides free energy for RVers who enjoy boondocking. That’s why more and more fulltimers are mounting wind generators on their RVs along with solar panels.
