Dilemma: A cold night and both propane tanks are empty
Fulltimers who boondock for long periods know how important propane is to living without hookups. When blogger and fulltimer Russ De Maris encountered that situation, he came up with an ingenious solution. Read about it.

Protect your important computer files with this USB drive
More and more fulltimers these days are storing important financial information, photos and other electronic files on USB flash drives. These drives are convenient because they’re small (they fit easily in the palm of the hand) and removable. Send one with dozens of photos to a relative, who can then insert it in his or her computer for immediate viewing. Or store a drive in a location separate from your computer as a backup. But the typical USB drive is fairly fragile. Drop it in the water, for instance, and you might lose all your information. That’s why this USB drive is special. Read more.

In the ForumsBoondocking at Kentucky Travel Centers
I travel I-75 through Kentucky fairly frequently. A short distance off I-75 at the Berea, KY exit is a “Visitors Travel Center.” They are open from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM. It’s extremely nice and makes a GREAT place to stop. There’s a cafe, folk art museum, gift store, etc. They also have a very nice and large area for RV parking, but it’s not lit so at night very dark, but quiet. I have asked people working there if they allow boondocking, but no one has an answer. I also have stopped there several times after they are closed, but never have seen another RV. Has anyone stayed there, have an experience there or have some information?
Catalytic heaters
Are catalytic heaters safe in trailers? Especially at night while sleeping if 1 or 2 windows are cracked. The new ones have low oxygen shutoff. It would save on battery power and probably propane over using the trailer furnace.
