Thinking of Full Time RVing? This Club Will Really Help

When growing up, most of us were blessed with a network of family and friends who helped us “learn the ropes” of life. From the very first squaling noises we made, to our tenuous steps across the living room floor, they were ready to nurture us, and help us up when we went face down. Sometimes thinking about jumping into the fulltime RV lifestyle is a scary thought–all those “What ifs,” and “How-do-we’s” keep haunting our sleep.

There’s an organization of fulltime RV folks who stand ready, like a supportive network of friends and family. Known among themselves as SKPs–”Skips”–these folks form the RV club called the Escapees. Founded years back by a couple who learned about life in an RV fulltime on their own have exploded into a group of thousands in many different countries. SKPs (S-K-Pees) come from a wide range of backgrounds, but nearly all stand ready to help one another learn the ropes of fulltiming, to fine-tuning the lifestyle.

These ones have both formal and informal gatherings all across the country; have an extremely helpful website and forums, publish a great magazine every other month, and have other support services that new ones to the fulltime lifestyle can really learn and grow with. Check out this link for a page dedicated to folks who want to learn more about this great group.
