		<description>There are two important differences between catalytic heaters and all other unvented gas heaters. First, because cat heaters are flameless, they operate at much lower temperatures (typically 400-500 degrees F) than "blue flame" or ceramic brick heaters. That makes them less dangerous to pets and small children who might brush against them. &lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;Second and more important, properly operated cat heaters don't generate poisonous carbon monoxide, while all "blue flame" and ceramic brick heaters do.
